Where did that month and a half go? Here we are at half term again after a variety of very different experiences over the last 6 weeks for our pupils!

The P7s had a successful ski trip to Bulgaria in the middle of January and all passed with flying colours! Thanks to Mrs Bell, Mr Massey and Mrs Smart for leading the week once more and well done to all pupils on representing the school so well- we even had an e-mail from a tourist staying at the same hotel as our pupils and staff who heaped praise on the manners and behaviour of all from Brooklands Primary School.

Our friends from Crown Jesus Ministries visited us in January as well, bringing the Old Testament Bible story of Gideon to life in song and drama. Again, the team let us into a big secret ...they LOVE coming to Brooklands because of the brilliant behaviour of our pupils and even the smiles and laughs of our staff as well!

We had a real treat just before our half term break when the New Life Choir from Uganda paid us a visit and entertained us with singing, dancing and drumming! What an amazing privilege to listen to these boys and girls and hear some of their stories. Thanks to all at St Mary's Church for making this memorable visit possible.

A few reminders to finish...ONLY blue badge holders and staff members are permitted to drive into school grounds - even if it's a bit wet and miserable, please drop pupils outside the grounds and ask them to walk to the playground safely. Also, as winter nears its end, please remember staff are on playground supervision duty from 8.30am each school morning - so pupils can remain safely in school grounds without you having to stay. Please help us promote independence by dropping off your children and heading on, especially P4 to P7 pupils.

School will end at 12noon on Wednesday 15th February for half term, re-opening on Tuesday 21st February at 8.50am.
