Today, 14th April we had a special art day here in Room 1! A lovely lady called Anna came and did a super art activity with us. She brought lots of nice things for us to use and showed us how to make a fun house from our story this week, The Three Little Pigs. Have a look at our photos below.

We have had a wonderful first week back at school. We are all excited for a fabulous term 3 in P1 G. We would also like to welcome our new friend Elizabeth to our class

We would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. We have been busy doing lots of fun Easter activities including making Easter bunny cups, Easter bonnets and yummy top hat buns. We also had a very special visitor deliver some Easter treats to all the boys and girls in our class!

We are so happy to be back to school! Look at all the fun we had together during our first week back after lockdown.

It is so sad we can't be in school right now but you are all doing a wonderful job with your home learning and I am super proud of you all! Have a look at what all your friends from class have been getting up to at home in the photos below.

Everyone from P1 G would love to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Look how fabulous we all look in our Christmas jumpers during our Christmas jumper day.

We have had lots of fun activities this week in school to help us with our number formation of 1 - 5.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Room 1! The children have been enjoying engaging in a range of Christmas activities over the past few weeks.

Have you Filled a Bucket Today?

We listened to this story in class as part of Anti-Bullying week. We thought of how we could be kind and fill each others buckets up. You might like to listen to the story again at home.

The week, week beginning 16th November, we celebrated Anti-bullying week in school by wear odd socks to school! On Wednesday we also has our 'Fitness Fundraiser', The children all had super good fun doing their exercises with Mr. Coetzee in the hall.

As part of our work on Nursery Rhymes the children had to come up with some clever ideas to Mrs. Gavero's questions. Have a look at their answers below smiley

Why did Humpty Dumpty fall off the wall?

Why did the mouse run up the clock?

We have been doing lots of work on Pattern during Numeracy in P1 G. We are able to copy a pattern and continue a pattern.

We have been so glad to see all the lovely weather lately as it has meant the boys and girls have got to spend lots of time out playing and investigating our outdoor play area. Everyone really loves playtime here! Check out our P1 Outdoor Learning page to see some of our photos.
We are off to a great start here in P1 G! We have been learning about People Who Help Us, learning to make marks and have good listening ears, as well as learning about shapes and sorting. Phew! No wonder we are all feeling tired!

The boys and girls have been doing lots of fun activities here in Room 1. Displaying all their work up on the walls is helping our classroom to look so bright and cheerful

A HUGE well done to all the boys and girls for making a fantastic start to P1 this week. Everyone has arrived happy and eager and have enjoyed getting to know their new classroom, friends and teacher! I hope you enjoy looking at some of the photos from our first week in school! laugh
