Our winning poems are announced!

Hello promising poets!

Welcome P6 and P7 pupils!

It's competition time -

with a fantastic set of prizes on offer for the winner!

(watch the video below from Joel M for full details!)

A mental health charity called 'Aware NI' wants YOU

to write a poem - of any kind - expressing how YOU feel

and what YOU think about the changed world

we have been living in for the past 10 months or so.

How have you found learning at home?

Your favourite places closed?

Being apart from friends, classmates and teachers?

What sort of things have made you happy during this time?

How have you 'kept going'?

Who has been there for you the most?

So many important questions...

and we are trusting that our P6 and P7 pupils can answer them sensibly, maturely and responsibly in a poem of their own!

On this page, there will a variety of ideas, helpful hints, links

and videos to inspire you to EXPRESS YOURSELF in writing!

All poems must be written by YOU and be e-mailed

to your teacher by Monday 8th February.

Mrs Smart and Mr Henry will gather all the entries in to read and decide on ONE P6 winner and ONE P7 winner whose poems will be sent off to Aware NI and to Joel M for the big competition!

Our two school winners can look forward to a

Amazon voucher each as a special Brookies-own prize!

So... are you ready?

Give the competition a try - you never know!

Be honest, be real and be ready to...

EXPRESS YOURSELF!

Good luck!
