P7 Miss Duggan

Dive into Summer!

Northern Irish Landmarks

For this year’s whole school art competition, we have been researching famous Northern Irish landmarks. We explored Harland and Wolff, The Dark Hedges, Mussendun Temple, The Giant’s Causeway and many others…

Congratulations to our class winner Jessica!

We had so many wonderful entries! Have a look!

We have been SO lucky in p7 to welcome Anna, a fantastic Community Artist, to our classroom!

We have been making sculptures from wax paper, glue and tissue paper!

We hope you like them!

Rainbows have become very symbolic over the last year, and in p7 we wanted to celebrate that in our art.

We used watercolours to paint our rainy backgrounds and drew brightly coloured rainbows and umbrellas!

P7s have been doing lots of problem solving in class recently!

It's the Easter Holidays!

In ICT this week, we have been creating digital word art all about Easter.

        The countdown is on....

Last week in P7, we decided to do something a little different and make some salt dough decorations for our class Christmas tree!

Up, Up and Away!

In World Around Us, P7 have been looking at famous landmarks around the world.

Our class novel - Grandpa's Great Escape - explores at the idea of flying off on adventures around the world to see some of these places.

We tied these ideas together and produced some artwork we are really proud of!

Over the last 2 weeks, P7D have been using Prodigy to combine our Maths and ICT.

In P7 Duggan, we have been learning about shape and space.

We constructed these 3D shapes using toothpicks and blue tac!

We are thankful for...

Onomatopoeia

This week pupils have been learning about Roy Lichtenstein. He inspired us to create some amazing onomatopoeia art of our own!

We’re going to grow in p7, because we’ve got

#goals!

Welcome to P7 Duggan!

I cannot tell you how delighted I am to be back at Brooklands with you all! P7 is a fantastic year, with so much to look forward to. We are already working hard in our Maths and English, but have been enjoying lots of art too!

 Our wonderful classroom assistants are

Mrs Allman and Mrs Best.

Stay tuned for lots of photographs of the amazing things that happen in Room 26!
