School Service of Thanksgiving for HM The Queen

'Thank you Ma'am...for everything.'

Today we paid tribute to Her Majesty The Queen with a very special Service of Thanksgiving for our pupils, staff and invited guests.

We say a huge well done to Jagoda, Aleah, Jack & Olly for their excellent prayers & readings. A big thank you to Matthew Wilson for his musical talent on the bagpipes (and his popular tour of the classes!) and to Rev Richard McIlhatton for closing our service.

Thanks to our local political representatives for supporting this event - Gavin Robinson MP; MLAs Naomi Long, David Brooks & Peter McReynolds and Lisburn & Castlereagh councillors Sharon Skillen, Sharon Lowry, John Laverty and Hazel Legge. It was lovely to welcome some of our governors as well as retired staff members too.

We are thankful for the life, work and witness of arguably our greatest ever monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, and hope you and your family are able to watch the State Funeral on Monday.

We'll see all of our boys and girls back in school on Tuesday morning.
