Reading Activity - 'The Wartime Diary of Eliza Beale'.
The passage comprises three diary entries, written by a girl called Eliza Beale.
Eliza is an evacuee during World War Two. She describes how she and her brother, George, have been sent away from London to live on a farm with Mr and Mrs Farthing.
In this diary entry, Eliza tells us what has been happening to her and George and how she feels about each situation. The style of writing is very informal - as though Eliza is actually talking to us.
