Using Co-ordinates

You have already had lots of practice plotting and naming co-ordinates in one quadrant only.

This means using positive (plus) numbers only.

You are also familiar with the rule:

'go across the hall and up the stairs'

Today you are going to take the next step.

You will be working with co-ordinates in

four quadrants.

This means working with both positive (plus) and negative (minus) numbers.

It is very important that you watch the video clip which explains how to plot points in four quadrants.
