BRITISH SCIENCE WEEK

This week marks the start of British Science Week! Now if truth be told it officially starts on Friday but I didn't think there would be any harm if everyone in P6 made a wee bit of a head-start and we started today!!!

I love Science! All the teachers in P6 love it when we can do Science in class and especially when we get to do different investigations and experiments! The one that explode and make a big mess are always our favourite - as long as everyone stays safe of course!!!

Every Wednesday is going to be our Science lesson day! Don't worry you won't be creating any sort of explosion in your kitchen - tell your Mum or Dad that they can relax! It will all be ok!

Access the link below to get you started with what you have to do today! Remember each week there will be something different of course. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully! The main instruction will normally always ask you to have an adult with you just to ensure upon good safety standards are being observed!

The first activity I would like you to have a bash at for British Science Week involves an investigation of food! Now I know you might not be able to complete the task today if, like me, you currently have very little in your fridge but it would be great if you were able to do it the next time your parent goes to the shop to get the messages! The title of today's investigation is: Does the appearance of food affect how it tastes? If you click on the link below and then scroll down to page 23 you will find all the information you need to complete this activity!

Have fun and I hope you actually end up trying some foods that you maybe thought you didn't like!
