MAKE YOUR OWN LAVA LAMP
- Have fun today making your own lava lamp
- Don't forget to send Miss Lyon or Mr McKee photos or videos of you and your lava lamp in action.
To make the lava lamp you will need
1) Clear jar or bottle
2) Alka Seltzer tablets ( ask your mum, dad, grandmother etc if they have any in the house)
3)Water
4) Cooking oil
5) Food colouring
Instructions:
- Fill the bottle up about 1/4th (1 quarter) with water.
2. Add the food colouring to your water.
3 Add the cooking oil to the water and food colouring.
4 Break your fizzy tablet in half and drop part of it into the bottle.
Get ready … here come the bubbly blobs!You can even get a flashlight, turn off the lights and drop in another half tablet. This time shine the flashlight through the lava lamp while the blobs are bubbling!
