The Shamrock is an important symbol to remember on this day.
The shamrock has 3 leaves in one.
To draw the leaf, you just need to have 3 heart shapes,
joined at the point.
It is thought that St Patrick used the shamrock leaf to teach the Irish people about God.
He taught the people that God was really 3 people in one, the Father (in heaven), the son (Jesus)and the Spirit (here on earth).

How to Make a St Patrick's Day Crown

You will need paper plate, scissors, a pencil and pens.

1. Draw a Shamrock in the centre of the plate.

2. Pierce a hole beside the shamrock.

3. Use the hole to begin cutting around the shamrock. Do not cut the outer edge.

4. Decorate the edge with a message and pictures.

5. Your crown is ready to wear!
