We sure know how to mark a milestone at Brooklands Primary School!
Staff and pupils commemorated D-Day 80 in style today, with reflective assemblies and a picnic in the playground. Well done to the pupils in P3McW, P7S and P7H who led everyone in remembrance. Thanks to local councillors Sharon Lowry and Sharon Skillen for attending - plus retired teacher and World War Two encyclopedia Mr Devlin made a special guest visit!
Our P7s welcomed 10 senior citizens from Towell House for a wonderful Tea Party to mark the occasion. Hot drinks and chocolate biscuits were the order of the day as our senior pupils served, chatted & laughed with residents all morning!
We continue to strive to ensure that the children in our care at Brooklands never forget the past that has forged their present, in the hope it will shape their future.
When you go home,
Tell them of us and say:
'For your tomorrow,
We gave our today.'
