Our 40th anniversary celebrations continued on Thursday night in a packed St Mary's Church with an evening of music and memories, and more than one or two familiar faces from the Brooklands Hall of Fame! βͺοΈ
Former principals Alvin Maginnis, David McCartney & Jeremy Armstrong brought laughs, smiles and the occasional tear as they shared the history and high points of the last four decades.π
Former pupils Megan Bell, Reo McKnight and Olly Spence shared their memories of primary school and where life has brought them thus far.βΊοΈ
There was plenty of musical talent on display; our Anniversary School Choir led by Mrs Bell, former pupils and siblings Keith and Ruth Milligan, playing flute and singing respectively, and the Symington Memorial Silver Band was in fine tune too! πΆπ₯πͺ
Revs Jim Cheshire and Richard McIlhatton brought Christian reflections and prayers to open and close the celebration. ππ»
It was fantastic to see a mix of former and current pupils, staff, parents and governors - all reflecting on how much Brooklands Primary has impacted so many lives since 1985. ππ»
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and supported the event - it was perfect, from start to end. β€οΈ
Next stop... back to the future ... π€
