Exactly forty years ago today, on Monday 2nd September 1985, Brooklands Primary School opened its doors for the first time, following the amalgamation of two Ballybeen schools - Ballyoran and Carrowreagh. 4️⃣0️⃣
A whole four decades of outstanding dedication to the children of the local community which the school still proudly serves today. 👏🏻
Today, Mrs Smart and Miss McWilliams celebrated this milestone birthday with Board of Governors chairman Rev Richard McIlhatton as well as a brand new P1 pupil and a P7 pupil in his final year at the school. ❤️
We've celebrated this special anniversary already in 2025 with our crazy 80s day in March, a superb P7 production of the musical 'Olivia' in April and our huge community event to commemorate VE80 in May. 🙌🏻
We have 3 more special events coming your way in the next few months to round off our 40th anniversary celebrations - details to follow soon
Happy birthday Brooklands...here's to the next 40!
