FRUIT FEVER IN P3R Today P3 had the opportunity to make their very own delicious fruit salad. Yesterday we worked together to write a shopping list of all our favourite fruits πŸŠπŸŽπŸπŸŒπŸ“πŸ’πŸπŸˆ πŸ‡ πŸ‰ . We have been learning about fruit, where it comes from, how it grows and the countries that produce different types of fruit. We know that some fruits can be grown locally, e.g. apples, while other fruits such as mango, pineapple and bananas grow in very hot countries such as Costa Rica, Jamaica and Brazil. We had so much fun touching, smelling, tasting and investigating the different fruits. Some fruit have big stones (mango) while others have hard cores (pineapple) and others have tiny seeds (passion fruit). We chopped the fruit up and made a delicious fruit salad. We really enjoyed tasting the delicious fruit salad. Some of us discovered that we really love fruit, just like Oliver did in our ‘book of the week’ Oliver’s Fruit Salad. What is your favourite fruit?

Can you solve a difficult problem? P3R can. We used our problem solving skills and logic and reasoning strategies to find out the value of the fruit πŸ‡πŸ“πŸπŸ’πŸŒπŸŠπŸŽπŸ. We had to use what we knew as a starting point. Then we used this to find out the value of the other fruit. This is a tricky challenge but P3 really showed Miss Reid how clever they are and what prolific problem solvers they have become. See if you can solve the fruit challenge too πŸŽπŸŒπŸ“

BONJOUR P3! What French food did you enjoy tasting the most? P3 have been learning all about French πŸ‡«πŸ‡· food and this week we got the opportunity to taste some of our favourites. We decided to keep the Frogs 🐸 legs for Mr Armstrong and the snails 🐌 too. We heard they were two of his favourites 😍. We really enjoyed the baguettes πŸ₯–, croissants πŸ₯ and the pain au chocolat. The chocolate crepes were amazing too. Some of the boys an£ girls were not sure about the Brie cheese but gave it a try 😍. Learning about food around the world is so interesting and tasty πŸ˜‹.

Our topic over the past couple of weeks has been FOOD! Yummy Yummy Yummy! We have read some fab books including Fussy Freda (French food week), Mr Wolves Pancakes (Shrove Tuesday) and Oliver’s Fruit Salad. Activity Based Learning (ABL) activities have included calculating change, designing a menu, symmetry pictures, learning about and sorting French food and making models. We have so much fun working collaboratively as part of a group, taking on different roles, listening to others, taking turns and sharing our ideas πŸ’‘.

Which artist painted the absolutely stunning paintings of Sunflowers? 🌻 He was born in 1853. He was a Dutch artist. He painted a total of 5 large canvases with sunflowers in a vase. He cut off his ear. Vincent Van Gogh of course. P3R have been developing their artistic and creative flair by drawing and painting their own versions of the infamous Van Gogh Sunflowers 🌻 🌻🌻🌻. They are all absolutely stunning.

WOW! Guess what? P3 (yes 6 and 7 year olds) can use a dictionary! We have been learning how to use a dictionary to find words, to look up definitions, to locate the word before and word after and to find synonyms of words we already know. How clever are we! Now that we know how a dictionary can be used, we will be encouraged to use our dictionaries in the classroom to help us with our independent writing and to help extend our vocabulary. A dictionary contains lots of words, all in alphabetical order. Help us to develop our vocabulary at home by providing access to a children’s dictionary. We will surprise you with how quickly and efficiently we can find words πŸ“šπŸ“– and extend our knowledge.

We are working really hard at being Environmentally friendly and Eco conscious in Brookland’s. Indeed, our Eco Committee are helping to initiate lots of fabulous ideas to make our school more green. P3R decided to complete a waste bin challenge to find out how much waste can be recycled or composted. We discovered that most items in our general bins can be recycled or composted. The only thing we can’t put in an our school recycling bins is wet paper towels and cling film. Yoghurt pots must be clean before they are popped into the recycling bin. We kept a tally of what we found and also weighed our rubbish. We are hoping that when we do this challenge again we will see a big difference in the amount of waste in our general waste bins. By recycling and using our food waste caddy’s in the classroom, we will be actively reducing the amount of waste going to landfill. Help us save the planet 🌎 by recycling at home too.

Julia Donaldson, Ronald Dahl, JK Rowling, Oliver Jeffers, Michael Rosen? Who is your favourite author? What is your favourite book? πŸ“• World Book Day was an amazing day of fun, filled with books, stories, characters and of course costume. We had Harry Potters, Belle, Gangsta Granny and The Little Mermaid 🧜‍♀️ to name just a few. P7 McKee pupils wrote their very own Fairytales for P3 containing our very own names, how cool is that!

You will find us in Room 8, right across the corridor from Mr Armstrong’s office ssssshhhhhuuuuussssshhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Fat/thin, Up/down, big/small, tall/short, rough/smooth..... what are you talking about Miss Reid? Opposites of course, we have been working together to find lots of common opposites and to develop our understanding . Check us out, we work brilliantly as a team in P3R 😍

Today we were learning to put events in chronological order and to create a timeline. We have been learning all about Florence Nightingale who was a famous nurse born in 1820. She helped change the world of modern medicine and nursing care. Florence knew the importance of hygiene, good food, warm beds and medicine. She died at the age of 90 in 1910. Florence was known as the lady with the lamp, because she walked round the beds of sick soldiers during the Crimean War, carrying a lamp.

Coding Ninjas in P3R! Today P3R were taking their first steps into the world of Coding! Can you believe it, we are only 6 and 7 years old but we are learning to follow instructions, programme and code independently. Coding will benefit us in many ways. It will help improve our problem-solving, critical thinking and creativity skills. It will also help us develop logical thinking, communication and collaboration skills. Some of us worked with a partner while others worked independently. We can’t wait to see what we are going to be learning next. Our coding adventure has just begun and Miss Reid is very proud of our efforts so far.

Never mind the Belfast Telegraph, have you heard of the London Times or the London Gazette? P3R have been busy journalists this week reporting on the Great Fire of London. We had to use our independent and creative thinking skills to name our newspapers and think of innovative and snappy headlines. London’s Burning, London is burning down, Burn, Burn, Burn and London Sizzles are a few of the fab ideas P3 thought of. We are learning to write in the past tense, write what happened in sequence, use interesting and topic related vocabulary and to spell challenging words independently. Ask us some facts about the Great fire of London. When did it happen, why did it start, how did it spread, what damage it caused, who decided to use gunpowder, what helped stop the fire and what changes were made as a result of the fire. We would love to share our learning and impress our parents ☺️

Queen Elizabeth 1 was a strong and mighty Queen. She had many portraits painted of herself looking rich, powerful and regal. P3R used pencil to sketch portraits of Queen Elizabeth 1. We then used fine paintbrushes to paint our portraits. We are in P3 so we are trying hard to develop control of our paintbrushes, think carefully about what we are painting, develop our creativity and add more detail to our artwork. We used gems, jewels and glitter to add drama and to make our paintings eye catching. What do you think? Our paintings are displayed both inside and outside our room alongside our Queen Elizabeth1 reports. Miss Reid is super proud of our amazing report writing, paintings and positive approach to learning. Well done guys πŸ‘‘

The Baddies is a fab book by a very familiar author to P3, Julia Donaldson. Today, we read and explored a Braille version of the book. Each page had an overlay of Braille. We enjoyed running our fingertips over the bumps and dips and imagined what it would be like to read using braille. We agreed it would be a very different experience and really quite challenging. We appreciate how lucky we are to be able to read words and to get enjoyment from pictures in books. However, we also think Louis Braille was an innovative man and made reading accessible to all through his invention of Braille.

Cracking the Braille codes and writing in Braille during ABL in room 8. We had so much fun this week investigating and using braille. It was challenging and quite tough, but we did an amazing job to crack the codes.

Another ABL activity we enjoyed this week was a Great Fire of London board game. We worked collaboratively, taking turns, reading quiz cards, answering questions and striving for that finish line. We also thought about what we would have heard, seen, smelt and felt if we had been in London during the Great Fire of London. We discussed these in our groups and recorded our ideas on a mind map. We had some fantastic, creative ideas such as β€˜sizzling and searing wood’ and β€˜smoky clouds’.

Pudding Lane Bakery is open and ready for business! P3 worked on making amounts, calculating 2/3 amounts, finding β€˜how much more’ and β€˜how much less’. We worked hard to read and answer the questions and enjoyed the challenge questions at that bottom of the page that really stretched us. We know that the easiest way to make amounts is to put the biggest coins down first.

P3R have written a couple of acrostic poems this year. Acrostic Poems are fun to write because the word down the left side of the page links to a specific topic, e.g. Fire. Miss Reid really challenged us by giving us an acrostic poem as one of our ABL activities this week. We had vocabulary mats to help us and really tried hard to write creative and descriptive poems.

The Travelling Book Fair is at Brookland’s this week and P3R had so much fun reading the books, talking about our favourites, sharing our finds, listening to others and enjoying group story time with Miss Reid. Reading is so much fun when you are interested in the book you are reading, it’s helps to develop our vocabulary, promotes our recognition of sight words and extends our thinking.

Bingo in Brookland’s on a Friday afternoon! We played mathematical bingo today in room 8. We listened to very challenging maths questions, calculated the answers and scored out the answers on our Bingo boards. We had so much fun. Who knew maths could be such a fun and exciting activity.

Great Fire of London paintings. We created β€˜fiery’ backgrounds using a combination of red, yellow, orange and gold paint. We used brush strokes to create an authentic background for our paintings. We then painted our houses and experimented with sponges to create a smokey sky effect! We think they look terrific. WeL done guys.

The Great Fire of London! This week we have been learning all about the Great Fire of London. We have been finding out how it started, why it started, how it spread so rapidly, why gunpowder was used and the important buildings that were destroyed. We have also been researching the changes that were made after the fire to make London a safer city to live in. We read and sorted facts into the correct order. We talked about what it would have looked like, smelt like, sounded like and tasted during the Great Fire.

Date Handling in P3R is fun and very hands on! This week we used silent dice to record our scores. Then we recorded our scores in tally marks and transferred the data into a graph. We are learning to read information from a graph, discuss our thinking, find the most popular and least popular number, find the difference between and the total altogether. We are having fun whilst developing our mathematical language and understanding of key mathematical concepts! We are smart in P3R!

P3R have started a new topic called Famous People. We have been learning all about Queen Elizabeth 1 this week. Did you Know that she was born in 1533? She was King Henry VIII daughter and became queen at 25. Queen Elizabeth was a very strong and mighty Queen. She ruled England with great authority and was loved by her people. Please ask us more facts about Queen Elizabeth I as we love sharing our knowledge. Ask us how many siblings she had? Why she locked her cousin Mary Queen of Scotland in the Tower of London and who sent the Spanish Armada! We think you will be impressed! We wrote amazing factual reports about Queen Elizabeth and also drew and painted fabulous portraits of this monarch too. Look how carefully we are learning to paint and the attention to detail. Amazing 🀩

Sleigh Race...... who can get to the finish line first? We worked with our Thinking Partners to race to the finish line. We are not only developing our mental maths and thinking skills but we are also working on our collaborative skills, turn taking, sharing and explaining our learning!

Christmas Jumper Day in Brookland’s Primary School. We dressed in our favourite Christmas jumpers and even designed our own! Ella designed Miss Reid’s especially for the occasion!

Nativity Fever in Brooklands!! Well what an amazing week we have had performing our fabulous Nativity, β€˜It’s a Party.’ The children have been truly outstanding and have made both their parents and teachers very proud indeed. The acting was amazing, the singing was super and the dancing was definitely different but most importantly we all did our best and had lots of fun in the process!

Brrrrrrrrr is anybody feeling the chill? P3R have been learning all about Antarctica, the fifth largest continent in the world! Antarctica is covered by the Antarctic ice sheet, with an average thickness of 1.9km. Did you know, Antarctica is also the least populated continent on earth? Hmmmm I wonder why? It is located south of the Antarctic Circle and is surrounded by the Southern Ocean. Emperor Penguins are native to Antarctica. We have written fabulous factual reports, demonstrating our superb knowledge and understanding. We are learning to record our ideas independently, to write in well punctuated sentences, to structure our reports and to spell challenging words. Take a look at our amazing Emperor Penguin Reports 🐧

Antarctica is coming to Room 8 imminently so we thought we would take a few pics of the displays that we will soon be taking down! The Snail and the Whale and The Singing Mermaid were fabulous books and lent themselves to lots of fabulous creative writing activities. We had fun writing letters, postcards, character descriptions and speech bubbles. We are learning to use lots of amazing adjectives in our independent writing to make it interesting and varied for the reader. P3 are also learning to develop and extend their own creative thinking and to record these ideas independently. Roll on Antarctica......... pictures to come 🐧

Money, Money, Money! In a world of digital and contactless payment, it can be tricky getting opportunities to see and use money in real life situations. We have had lots of fun making amounts using real coins in P3R. We know that the only coins available are 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, Β£1 and Β£2. We are learning to use the biggest coins first when making amounts and calculating totals. This makes it much quicker and easier to calculate. It also means we use less coins and can calculate accurately in our heads. For example, 57p, we put down the biggest possible coin first which is 50p, then 20p, followed by 5p and finally 2p.

Compound Word Capers! We have been busy learning about compound words in P3R. Did you know a compound word is two words that have been put together to create a new word that has a different , individual meaning. For example, rain β˜”οΈ and bow πŸŽ€ = rainbow 🌈. We had great fun working together to create new compound words. Miss Reid set the timer and we had to find another word that would make a new compound word. Wow talk about quick thinking πŸ€”. We love fun active learning games that make literacy fun in P3R 😍.

πŸŽƒHalloween Fun in P3R! Pass the Pumpkin anyone? πŸŽƒ We had lots of fun in Room 8 today. We enjoyed some Halloween activities, followed by games, a disco and finally a Halloween Party.

Peanut’s Birthday Parade. We set out on our sponsored walk around Dundonald to celebrate Peanut’s 1st Birthday and to raise money for school fund. We saw lots of familiar faces along the way and even met a real life Mayor and lots of important people. We were introduced to Alliance leader Naomi Long and Peanut gave her a massive lick! We were well looked after en-route by local PSNI officers who made sure we all stayed safe and crossed the roads safely. It was a fab morning and we were all ready for lunch on our return to school.

Terrific Tilly reading to the class. Wow Tilly we are so proud of you in Room 8. You have made amazing progress with your reading! You even had the confidence to read in front of the class. I think Miss Reid has big competition!

IROCK came to Brookland’s and P3 Rock and Rolled! We had so much fun when IROCK visited Brookland’s and had us all singing, learning new songs, playing amazing instruments and having fantastic fun. Lily from our class was chosen to play the guitar with the band and she was outstanding! It was amazing how quickly the boys and girls from P1-3 were singing together as a big group, changing the volume and tone of their voices and having fun together. What a marvellous morning of music!

πŸŽƒHalloween Maths Mania in P3R! Did you know that maths can be fun? P3R have had lots of fun this week playing Halloween maths games with our thinking partners. We are using our mental maths skills to calculate answers. We are also learning to listen to our partner, share, take turns, co-operate and negotiate. These are all very important skills and Miss Reid was very impressed!

Angry Elephants In Orange Underpants! What are you talking about Miss Reid? It’s a mnemonic of course! P3R have been busy learning about the 5 vowels and the other 21 consonants (well done Cora) in the alphabet. We have progressed to learning when to use a/a correctly. P3 now know that we use an before a word beginning with a vowel and a before a word beginning with a consonant.

3D shape investigations. We have been learning about 3D shapes in P3R. We know that a 3D shape means 3 Dimensional and unlike a 2D shape, a 3D shape has width, height and depth. We have been investigating cubes and cuboids recently and using new mathematical language to describe a 3D shapes properties. We know that a 3D shape has faces, vertices (corners) and edges. We have explored lots of everyday objects that are cubes and cuboids. We used chalk and markers to physically mark the properties on our very own cubes and cuboids. Indeed, we made our own 3D shapes using a net. Wow, that was tricky! However, learning by doing and active engagement is how we learn best. Did u know a cuboid has 6 faces, 4 rectangular faces and 2 square faces. It has 8 vertices or corners and 12 edges. A cube is similar, however, it has 6 square faces, 8 vertices and 12 edges. Shape Ninjas!

Just2Easy is a fabulous computer program that is very child friendly, colourful and easy to use. P3R used Just Write to type our own sentences all about The Singing Mermaid and Tiddler. It can be hard finding the keys, using the space bar, turning on\off caps lock and using a mouse. However, we are doing brilliantly and Miss Reid is very proud of our progress already. Well done guys πŸ‹πŸ³πŸ πŸŸπŸ¦ž.

A E I O U - this week we were learning about the 5 vowels. We identified the vowels in lots of words and even played detectives as we searched for vowels in our reading books and Julia Donaldson book, Sharing a Shell. Do you know what a mnemonic is? P3R do! We read a really funny one that made everybody roll over in fits of giggles. Are you ready for it? Angry Elephants In Orange Underpants. After all the hard work, Miss Reid challenged us to write our own mnemonics. Comedians in the making in Room 8 πŸ˜‚

Can you solve a mathematical word problem? Of course P3R can! We use the RUCSAC strategy to help us. Read, Understand, Choose, Solve, Answer and Check. We have been learning that highlighting important information in the problem helps us to decipher what is really important. We can use pictures to help us too. Reading the problem carefully and taking note of the vocabulary used, e.g. how many altogether or how many were left helps us decide if the problem is an addition or subtraction calculation. Miss Reid thinks we are Word Problem Wizard’s already 😍.

IPADS have arrived in Brookland’s! P3R had great fun this week using the class IPads for the very first time. We were learning how to enter our password and scan QR codes to access some fun and challenging maths activities. We were ordering numbers, calculating addition and subtraction sums, finding the missing number and most importantly having lots of fun.

ICT Suite! P3R had so much fun on their first ever visit to the computer suite! We are learning to login independently using our personal usernames and passwords. It can be quite challenging finding the keys on the keyboard the first few times. Some of us had touchscreen laptops which made things a little easier. However, we all got logged in and accessed games and interactive activities on Junior Newsdesk. We look forward to really developing our ICT skills over the year, using Word, Matheletics, Coding etc etc. This is just the beginning.......

Under the Sea πŸ‹πŸ³πŸŸπŸ πŸ¦žπŸ¦. P3R have been busy reading books by the famous author Julia Donaldson. To date, we have read Tiddler and The Snail and the Whale. We have really developed our creative and imaginative independent writing skills and can’t wait to show you our work and classroom displays when they are complete. We are learning to write extended pieces of writing, spell independently using our phonics and high frequency words and to remember what makes a fabulous sentence. For example, capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. We have written speech bubbles, postcards and a character description this week. We also engaged in some artwork, painting some of our favourite sea creatures for our classroom displays. We are learning to paint with more precision using fine paintbrushes. Miss Reid thinks we are absolutely amazing artists!

Number Ninjas in P3R! We start every morning with β€˜Monster Maths’ in Room 8. This helps get our brains warmed up for the day ahead and also helps us settle into the day ahead. This week we really impressed with our amazing mental maths skills. We used HUGE dice To play a fun and interactive maths game. This involved rolling both dice and then either adding the two numbers together or subtracting. Of course, as we are big P3’s now these weren’t ordinary dice. The numbers on one of them were 2-digit numbers. We used number fans to show our answers. This ensures everybody has the opportunity and time to calculate the answer independently before we all β€˜show.’ Well done guys 😍

What’s the time Mr Wolf? Well what can I say, P3R really impressed with their time work this week. We have a good knowledge of the hands on the clock (minute and hour hand) and were able to explain our thinking when asked about the position of the minute hand when it is an O’clock time. For example, Cora was able to articulate that the minute hand always points at 12 when it’s O’clock and only the hour hand changes depending on the time. We used our individual clocks to really consolidate our understanding and ensure everybody fully understood. We also talked about time language and recapped on time facts, e.g. number of minutes in an hour, number of minutes in half an hour, number of seconds in a minute, number of hours in a day, number of hours in two days etc. we are definitely ready to move on...... half past are you ready?

Famous people in History! P3 have loved learning about Queen Elizabeth 1, The Great Fire of London, Louis Braille and Florence Nightingale. Ask us some facts.

A taste of Antarctica ⛄️

P3 were the first ever token winners! They have demonstrated amazing manners, fabulous behaviour, great listening and wonderful respect for both themselves and others in school. In the words of Mr Ethan McGilton β€˜today was the best day ever.’ Indeed, today was an amazing celebration of all our hard work and was such an exciting, fun-filled extravaganza. We started off with chocolate during the class register (yes really) then craft and ICT. We then had a surprise visit from the ice-cream van and enjoyed delicious ice-creams and multicoloured slushies. Next we had an extra outdoor play and then a brilliant afternoon of bouncing, bouncing and more bouncing. Well done P3 for working so hard and achieving an amazing day filled with fun and treats. Keep up the great work, keep working hard, displaying those fab manners and behaving impeccably. Just imagine if we won again 😍

Reading and telling the time on the analogue and digital clocks.

Autumn Addition! We used our adding skills (counting on strategy) to calculate the addition sums and create a mystery autumn picture. We worked together with our thinking partners. Team work makes the dream work!

Bounce! Bounce! Bounce!

A or an? P3 R have been learning the 5 vowels and this week we learnt that we use a β€˜an’ before a word beginning with a vowel. For example, an apple, an elephant, an igloo, an umbrella and an octopus. However, when a word doesn’t begin with a vowel, but a consonant we use β€˜a’. For example, a banana, a cat, a dog etc. We read sentences and used our knowledge to work out whether we needed to put in the word a or an. We were amazing!,,,

P3R had lots of fun on their Autumn walk today! Thankfully the rain stayed off and we completed many laps of the school grounds. Thank you very much for the generous sponsorship money raised by all families. It was much appreciated and will go towards vital resources for our children in their classrooms πŸ˜πŸŽƒπŸ₯³βοΈ.

πŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒHalloween Party fun in P3RπŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒ #sugaroverload πŸ€ͺ

Subtraction Bat Challenge. P3 R have been working on their subtraction skills. We know that counting back is an effective strategy when we take away. We worked with our Thinking Partners to complete the subtraction sums and find the correct answer card!

P3R have made a great start on their ICT journey at Brooklands! We are learning to log on using our usernames and passwords. We have been exploring Junior Newsdesk and Topmarks educational games. Today we used an App called Justeasy to type. First we tried typing our names. Then we picked a background of our choice and attempted to type an independent sentence. It’s challenging looking for the keys on a keyboard, learning to use the caps lock and also the space bar. Miss Reid thinks we did an amazing job 😍.

Yellow Mellow Extravaganza in Brooklands! We had a great day of fun, laughter and birthday celebrations. Don’t tell anybody but Mr Armstrong is going to be 60 on SaturdayπŸ₯³. We had a fabulous assembly and welcomed some amazing visitors to join in the celebrations. In our classroom we got busy creating pumpkins for the pumpkin patch outside our room. We can’t wait to put them up for everyone to see πŸŽƒ.

The Singing Mermaid was one of our favourite Julia Donaldson stories. The mermaid was captured by Sam Sly and kept in a tank inside his caravan. Sam Sly made the mermaid sing to the crowds every night. She was very unhappy. The mermaid wrote a letter to P3R and asked for their help to set her free. We used our imaginations to think of different ways the mermaid could escape and get back to her friends at Silversands Bay. Our letters were brilliant and Miss Reid was really impressed by our super spelling, punctuation and creativity. We put the letters on the wall outside our classroom for everybody to see.

We have been developing our creative and imaginative writing skills. We wrote character descriptions for our favourite character in Tiddler. We are learning to record our own ideas and give reasons for our choices. We are using our knowledge and understanding of the story to help us to describe our favourite character. Some of us liked Tiddler best. Others liked Miss Skate best of all. Some of us really liked Granny Dory. It’s great to make choices and develop our independent thinking skills ☺️.

Opposites! P3R have been busy learning about opposites. We know that opposites are pairs of words that have opposite meanings. To help us get ready for learning and to warm up our brains, we played β€˜OPPOSITE SNAP ATTACK.’ We were each given a card and had to find our matching opposite partner. This really helped to develop our understanding and was a great warm up game. Who is ready for synonyms next.????.πŸ€ͺ

Money Mania in P3R. We used real coins to find different ways to make 10p and 20p. P3 are learning to use the biggest possible coins first. For example, 20p can be made using a 20p, two 10ps, one 10p and two 5ps, four 5ps etc. This helps us to develop our logic and reasoning skills too.

P3R have been developing their understanding of the position of numbers and number patterns on the 30 array. We used blank arrays and counters to identify where numbers are positioned. We discussed number patterns and the relationships between numbers on the array. For example, we looked at the number 5. We know all numbers in the 5 column have a 5. We discussed how numbers increase by 10 each time we jumped down from 5, to 15 and then to 25. We placed our counters on the number 2 and counted in 2’s. We discussed how each number we landed on was an even number. This helped to develop our knowledge of even numbers above 10. We did this for odd numbers too. We counted in 5’s and 10’s too! We are number ninjas in P3R ⭐️

CVC Phonic Word Building in P3R.

Active learning in P3R - ordering the letters of the alphabet! Gosh this is collaborative teamwork at its best πŸ˜‰
