Today was a day for making pictures, we had to sequence the numbers in the correct order from 1 to 10 to see what it was a picture of! When the activity was complete we were able to see a picture of a play park. 🛝

Counting fun for everyone! Mrs Massey is very impressed with our counting skills, she says we are ready for P3!
We really needed to use soap when we came in from outside today because our hands were dirty ! 👏🏻 We watched one of our favourite programmes, “Come Outside”, ✈️ to find out how soap is made. Finishing patterns is what we got up to at work time. We had to complete the Humpty Dumpty patterns. 🥚👑🐴 We all really impressed Mrs Massey.

What was hidden in the rice today? Mrs Massey had hidden pieces of Humpty Dumpty in the rice and we had to gather all the pieces and rebuild him!
We have taken part in a STEM activity today. As we know poor Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall. We were investigating which materials would work well as a safety blanket for him to land on!
We are artists! 👩🎨 We have been painting pictures today at outdoor play time this morning!
We completed an obstacle course today - even Mrs Massey gave it a go!

Following directions :
today some of us were following pictorial directions to see if they were true or false statements. We had to use a picture grid to move from a starting object and work our way to a finishing object.We have been trying very hard to use the correct directional language such as left and right, forward and backwards, up and down as well as a very difficult word - diagonally!

Using bingo dabbers to improve our hand eye coordination as well as working hard on our pencil grip. The end result was a gorgeous hedgehog 🦔!
Today was about showing our Numeracy skills by mapping numerals to matching sets! Mrs Massey is very impressed with how fabulous we are! 🥰
More fun with Bee Bot today! 🐝
We have used Bee Bot and have learnt how to get him to go forward, then complete a turn to the right and then to move forward again. We have been using him to move between the numbers 1 - 5 in the correct order. Miss Peacock really enjoyed working with our new friend Bee Bot!

We have been using buns to make hedgehogs.🦔 We dipped them in chocolate, added two eyes and then used Matchmakers as spikes! We can’t wait to eat them at home.😁

Today we have been using our skills to subitise when using dice. 🎲
We are rolling a dice and then colouring a scarecrow’s body parts as per the instructions. We have been using felt tip pens and are making sure to hear the “click “ when we put the lids back on so we know that they are closed correctly. ✍️

We have been practising our subsidising skills today playing a game with Mrs Todd to see who can build their ten frame first. We have been working on turn taking and having to, at times, miss a go as we rolled a number that was bigger than the number of spaces we had left on our ten frames. Mrs Todd unfortunately did not win even one game! 🥲

We are finding teddies in the water and in the foam and then sorting them into the correct box according to colour. The teddies in the foam needed a wash before we sorted them! 🧸🛀

Today was all about developing our hand muscles, a super start for beautiful handwriting! We are using clothes pegs to put spikes on hedgehogs. 🦔 We are also using our Numeracy skills to count within 10!
We have made hedgehogs 🦔 today using Model Magic . Their eyes are made using cloves and we’ve used scissors ✂️ to make their spikes. All that is left to do is paint them brown! 👨🎨🎨
