P6 Mrs Bell

Welcome to P6 Mrs Bell!

There are 22 fantastic children in our class!

P6 - it's a tough year but we do like to have some fun too!

As we approach the summer, scroll down to take a look through some of the photographs of this year's activities and see what we've been up to so far.

We enjoyed our Wacky Hair Day in May!

New Life has Begun

P6B sang this beautiful song as part of our Easter online assembly

We used watercolours to create these beautiful four seasons calendars

We love playing Among Us so Mrs Bell gave us some challenges where we had to find the imposters!

Homework update November 2020

We're changing the way we do our homework!  Here's what to expect over the coming weeks.

We have new homework folders into which we put our Maths or English homework books, Maths Facts book, BugClub reading book and spellings plus any notes.  These folders go home each afternoon and should be returned to school the next morning please.

BugClub books go home every day from Monday to Thursday - read each night using either the paper copy or online.  These books are collected in on Fridays to be sanitised.

We get our written English homework each Monday.  This should be completed at home and handed in on Wednesday morning.

Spellings are sent home each Tuesday.  On Tuesday evening, we need to sort the words.  On Wednesday, we write sentences using some of this week's spellings.  On Thursday, it's time to practise spelling the more difficult words ahead of Friday's test.  Don't forget to return the spelling homework page each Friday morning to be in with a chance of winning a prize!

We get our written Maths homework each Wednesday.  This should be completed at home and handed in on Friday morning.

Our Maths Facts books help us to revise key concepts that we have covered so far this year.  Use this book for regular revision sessions and to practise your multiplication and division facts.

Brooklands Primary Remembrance Assembly 2020

Our class performed a beautiful song entitled "We Shall Remember" as part of our Remembrance Assembly 2020

Remembrance Day assembly

Please practise this song at home!

We played the Time Travelling Verbs game to practise changing from the present tense to the past tense!

For "Mellow Yellow" day, we're thinking about different ways to be kind!

When we're solving word problems, we have to choose the correct operation. Do we need to add, subtract, multiply or divide?

We're learning about place value and thinking about what happens when we add or subtract 10/100/1000. What changes? What stays the same?

To help us solve today's word problem, we drew a diagram on our individual whiteboards.

For PDMU, we've been thinking about the things for which we are grateful.

We created these beautiful hot air balloons by plotting co-ordinates!
