Keeping a journal

Why not try keeping a journal or a diary?

Begin each entry with recognising how you are feeling that day. You could draw an emoji or write down the feeling. You may be feeling happy, sad, worried, angry, bored, fed up or tired. Then you could write a few sentences as to why you feel that way. You could even draw a picture or chat to an adult if you don't feel like writing.

Writing down or talking about our worries is so important! It helps us to release these thoughts from our minds and begin to find ways of dealing with them.

Check out the template below for ideas!

We use a similar version in 'The Rainbow Room' to check in on every visit!

Feelings journal - Template

Below you will find some journal templates for each day of the week!

They include a little 'Quote of the Day' to motivate you and each day is slightly different. One day you might make a list of goals for the day and another day you might write down your favourite songs for example!

Try completing one every morning! If you don't have a printer - use the templates below to help you create your own version!
