Roald Dahl at Repton
This passage is taken from Roald Dahl's Autobiography Boy, in which he describes his early life. As a boy of 13, his mother sent him to Repton Public School. He really did not enjoy his time there... as you are about to find out!
In Boy Roald Dahl describes both happy and sad memories.
As an extension activity, we would like you to write one or two paragraphs about some things in your past which have made you happy or sad. We would love to read your short pieces, so don't forget to email these to your teacher.
