Try writing the sentence; Biff and Floppy.

Whoever is at home with you should write it onto a page for you to copy over just like Mrs Williamson showed you in the video. Then you could even try to draw a picture of Biff and Floppy too.

Reading

Watch Mrs Williamson's video reading the book called Six in a bed

Can you read any of the words too? Can you remember meeting those characters before? Can you work out why it's called Six in a bed?

High Frequency words

So far we have learnt these words in school:

   and      to       the       no      go

Biff    Chip    Kipper    Floppy    Mum     Dad

Maybe a grown up could write them onto some paper and make little word cards for you to practice reading them.

Please click to open the HFW games file below where you will find some ideas of games you can play to help you learn them too.

Today we are going to think all about the number 4

1. Can you have a go at writing the number 4? You can use different pencils and pens to do this or you could even write it into some sand if you have a sand tray or in the condensation on the bathroom mirror. Have a think about your number rhymes to help you remember how to write this number.

2. Can you say the number that comes before and after 4?

3 Complete the story of 4 with Sian and then play the games .  Click on the link.  http://resources.hwb.wales.gov.uk/VTC/story_of_4/eng/Introduction/default.htm

World Around Us

As part of our new Winter topic we are thinking of Cold lands - places in our world where it feels like the coldest Winter you can imagine all year round.  Today we're going to learn about an animal who lives in Cold lands - the Polar Bear

Watch this show by clicking the link below and see if you can find out the answers to these questions -

What colour is their fur? What do they like to eat? What is a Polar Bear baby called?
