Phonics
This week we are looking at the "sure" and "ture" endings (see Tuesday's Literacy page). For today's activity, choose some of your words and put them into sentences of your own (at least four sentences please).

Main activity
Today's main activity focuses on spelling and we are thinking about words with silent letters
e.g. numb, knuckle, wreath.
Begin by watching today's video where Mr Coetzee explains the three parts of today's work.
For part one, choose either the higher level or the lower level activity below and have a go at each section.
For part 2, log in to EducationCity https://go.educationcity.com/ and play 'Silent Knights' to see how many words you can spell with silent letters.
Part 3- download a Silent Letter wordsearch and crossword and see if you can find all the words.
