Aboriginal Art and Symbols
This week we are looking at Aboriginal stories and their symbols and artwork.
* Read the Aboriginal Tales about animals in Australia.
* Discover what a Boomerang is using the Information Poster.
Make your own boomerang design using the symbols from the flash cards and add your own "dot art" patterns.
* Follow the "Dot Art" lesson to create your own Aboriginal flag pattern. (You can just use pens and pencils if you don't have paint! I use cotton buds for this lesson in school. If you don't want to use these patterns, you could try making Australian animal patterns.)
