  • Ski blog 2016 is launched

    Wed 30 Dec 2015

With less than three weeks to go before our P7 skiers head off to Bulgaria, it's time to launch our ski blog!

    http://brooklandsski2016.blogspot.co.uk/

This is our dedicated site for all things skiing and has lots of links as well as updates and photographs.  Once the P7s head away, the blog will be updated on a daily basis to let you all know what they're getting up to each day!

Click on the link now  - will you be brave enough to leave us a comment?!

  • Support local charities this Christmas @ Brooklands!

    Thu 10 Dec 2015

This Christmas time, we would like you to consider supporting some more very deserving local charities. Please give as you are able – every donation can make a difference!

Christmas Post: Stamps for Christmas cards are on sale in each classroom. It is £1.00 for a sheet of 36 stamps. The big red post box is outside the Assembly Hall and all cards are delivered the same day they are posted-talk about prompt service! All money will go to the Cedar Foundation, a local charity which supports children and young people with physical and learning disabilities.

Donations in lieu of staff gifts: We are politely asking all families to make a donation to Bandanas for the Brave instead of buying gifts for staff. Please, PLEASE don’t do both: we’d much rather this fantastic local charity benefitted from your generosity than us. Envelopes have been sent home this week. Filled envelopes can be returned at any time to class teachers. If you would rather wait until the last day of term-next Friday 18th December-that’s also fine.

Many thanks for all your charitable support in 2015.

  • P7 skiers enjoy their first ski lesson at Craigavon!

    Wed 09 Dec 2015

Today our 27 P7 skiers headed to Craigavon for their first-ever ski lesson ahead of our annual ski trip to Bulgaria in January.

Despite a few nerves, it wasn't long before everyone was finding their ski legs and getting used to the weight of the boots and skis.  By the end of their hour-long lesson, everyone was able to ski down the nursery slope without falling over too often!

Take a look at all the photographs by clicking on the link below!

  • The Belfast Giants visit Brooklands

    Fri 04 Dec 2015
Gordie and Mike from the Belfast Giants visited us on Thursday. They taught us all about a healthy lifestyle and gave us some exercises to do at home and in PE to keep us fit. They also very kindly left some tickets for a Giants match and some lucky children will be going to watch the Giants in action against the Sheffield Steelers on Friday 8th January.
