  • Christmas competitions get underway!

    Fri 29 Nov 2019

Please help us to raise much-needed funds for our school by supporting our Christmas competitions!

To win a huge jar of sweets, simply guess how many sweets are in the jar!  Each guess costs just 50p. We will also be holding a raffle to win a gorgeous Build-A-Bear puppy who is looking for a new forever home this Christmas. Each entry costs £1. The winners of both prizes will be announced on Friday 13th December.  P7 pupils will visit each classroom each day to allow the children to enter each competition.

Thank you for your support!  Good luck!

  • Open Night next week!

    Mon 25 Nov 2019

Is that the sound of Christmas music you hear? sad

Probably very likely as preparations for the season are well underway in Brooklands Primary School! no

We are also preparing to welcome prospective pupils and their parents next week on MONDAY 2nd DECEMBER at our Open Afternoon and Evening (starting at 1.45pm and 6.30pm respectively).

Our P1-3 Christmas performances are ticket-only events on Monday 9th, Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th December. P4-7 perform an 'in-house' Christmas Nativity for special guests towards the end of term.

Look out for our brilliant Senior Choir 'in action' over the coming weeks too - they have performances lined up for McDonalds, Towell House residential home, the Enler Centre, Dundonald Library and even Asda Dundonald! Huge thanks in advance to all pupils and staff going above and beyond to take part in these seasonal events.

Photos and more information will appear here over the next few weeks!

  • P6s enjoy their residential at Greenhill YMCA!

    Fri 08 Nov 2019

This week our P6 classes headed off to Greenhill YMCA in Newcastle for their first Brooklands residential.  Fifty children and four staff had an excellent four days learning many new skills including archery and laser tag.  They also scaled the climbing wall, learned how to abseil, climbed a mountain and conquered the team ropes challenge!  Head now to the Gallery to see the PowerPoint of all the photographs.

Massive thanks must go to all of the amazing staff from Greenhill!  From the beautiful dinners served by the wonderful catering team to the fantastic instructors who kept us all safe, we thank you all for looking after everyone so well.  Our thanks also go to our own staff who gave up time with their own families to give our pupils an experience which they will never forget.
