• Culture Week!

  After a very successful Culture Week last year, it is time again for our pupils to explore and learn about what life is like all around the world. 

   

  Each year group will learn about a different country for the week. They may try food from that country, listen to music, explore popular sports, create beautiful pieces of art and so much more!

   

  On Friday 2nd June, we will finish Culture Week with a Celebration Day!

  Pupils should come into school wearing the colours of the country they have been learning about.

   

  P1 - Japan

  P2 - France

  P3 - Mexico

  P4 - Jamaica 

  P5 - India

  P6 - South Africa

  P7 - Spain 

  

• P7 Leavers' photographs - Friday 19th May

  P7 Leavers’ photographs will be taken on Friday 19th May.  If you would like your P7 child to have their photograph taken, you must register their details by clicking the following link  

  https://orders.coolforschoolphotography.com and then enter our school code JRDVM5A

   

  Please register your child by 7pm on Thursday 18th May.  If you do not register your child, the photographer will be unable to take your child's photograph.

   

  The P7s will be allowed to wear their own clothes for their friendship photographs so please remember to wear school uniform that day but also bring a change of clothes!

• A crowning moment for Brooklands!

  Nobody does special events like Brooklands! 

   

  Our wonderful Coronation Week was a fabulous mix of parties, presentations and patriotism! 🇬🇧

   

  Our P7 classes visited the residents of Towell House for a Coronation Tea Party...over the two mornings, stories were shared, memories made & friendships created. The pupils have even been invited back before the end of term - a true reflection of how well received their visits were! 👑

   

  We discovered the winners of our Coronation competitions...Tara Mills from BBC NI was guest judge for the 'Royal Writers' Final - she picked 7 superstar writers as overall winners, having been impressed by a variety of poems, reports, stories & factfiles from P1 to P7! Well done everyone! 🤩

   

  Mrs Connery's art competition awarded prizes to the top 3 in every class, as chosen by our dazzling dinner ladies!

  Well done to our amazing artists! 🙌🏻

   

  We dressed up as royals, sang our new Coronation songs and welcomed Mr Henry's brother Simon to our finale celebration on Friday, followed by a picnic and disco in the playground - with a surprise guest appearance by ...THE SUN!!! ☀️

   

  Thanks to everyone who made our historic Coronation Week such a happy, fun experience in school...nobody does it better - well done Brookies! 👏🏻
