• Open Afternoon and Evening this Wednesday 2nd December

  Is your child due to start Primary 1 next September?  If so, please join us on Wednesday 2nd December for our Open Afternoon at 1.45pm or Open Evening at 6.30pm!

   

  This is an ideal opportunity to meet Mr McCartney and all our staff, find out what makes Brooklands such a special place and take a tour where you'll meet lots of our pupils who'll be happy to tell you all about why you should choose us!

   

  If you are unable to join us on this date, please contact Mr McCartney or Mrs Gray on 90487589 and they'll be happy to arrange an alternative date for you to meet us.

• Ardnabannon star pupils are announced!

  Today we held a special assembly to celebrate the successes of our P6 pupils on their Ardnabannon residential at the start of November.

   

  Congratulations to Connor, Ben, Dominic, Sarah, Heidi and Abbi who received special awards and to Mark and Ellie who were our overall pupils of the week!

• Famous Faces invade Brooklands!

  Well, well, well... what a fantastic fundraising day we enjoyed at Brooklands Primary School on FAMOUS FACES FRIDAY! We had famous TV and movie stars, celebrities, sportsmen, historical figures and even members of the Royal Family all in attendance! A huge THANK YOU to all staff and pupils who made the effort to dress up and join in the fun. 

   

  Staffroom stars had to be Mrs Millar as Nanny McPhee and the one and only Mr Devlin as Bruce Forsyth (complete with toupee and moustache of course!).

   

  At present we have raised a whopping £585 to add to our ongoing 'Asfaw' total- WELL DONE ONE AND ALL! All of this money and hopefully much more will be presented to our friend Rev Tim Kinahan at the end of this school year to help support our link school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

• FAMOUS FACES FRIDAY!

  Not long now until FAMOUS FACES FRIDAY (13th November)!

   

  Come to school dressed as a famous TV or movie star, celebrity, historical figure, superhero or sportsperson!

   

  This is a charity fundraising day for our link school in Ethiopia - they are building some new classrooms this year and we would like to support them as best possible by increasing our yearly giving.

   

  We would ask each pupil brings a minimum donation of £1.00 on Friday please!

   

  Prizes on offer for the best 'homemade' costumes or outfits in each class from P1 to P7 - don't just buy something, make something!

   

  We are looking forward to seeing all the FAMOUS FACES on Friday! Be on time to see all your teachers' outfits too!
