  • A sunny sponsored walk!

    Fri 28 Oct 2022

Who listens to the weather forecast anyway?!

Our fundraising sponsored walk took place in beautiful autumn sunshine this week - despite a rather unfavourable forecast beforehand! Our younger pupils did a few laps of our school grounds while others took in the fresh air around the Sports Hub & football pitches in the local area - then it was back to the playground to dance and have some fun!

Thank you to all of our parents, carers & families who have sent in such generous donations - we'll let you know a total after half term!

Have a wonderful week off everyone - stay safe, be good & have lots of fun!

School resumes again on Monday 7th November. πŸ˜€

  • Harvest Thanksgiving at Brooklands

    Sat 15 Oct 2022

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

This week our P2 to P7 pupils enjoyed their annual Harvest Thanksgiving assemblies with special guests Rev Richard McIlhatton (Christ Church Presbyterian) & Rev Jim Cheshire (StMary's C of I). It was lovely to welcome both ministers to each assembly as they also serve on our school's Board of Governors.

A massive thank you to our families and friends who donated items for Dundonald Foodbank - a total weight of 173kg was gratefully received!

A massive BIG thank-you to Anne and Michael from Sustrans for teaching some of our P6 pupils all about road safety while cycling! They took us out on to the roads around the school and taught us a great many things ... that will certainly stand the pupils in good stead for future road cycling.

  • Smiled & surprises for Mellow Yellow Day!

    Thu 06 Oct 2022

What a brilliant MELLOW YELLOW DAY at Brooklands! πŸ˜ƒπŸ’›πŸ˜Ž

Our pupils and staff enjoyed a wonderful day of relaxing classroom activities including music, drama, art, dance & discussion! πŸ˜πŸŽΆπŸ–ΌπŸŽ

We also said a very Happy special Birthday to the one and only Mrs Bell - who was surprised by retired friends in person & by a famous former pupil via video - Countdown and 5 live host, Colin Murray! (Check out our school Instagram account for his message!)

Our school places the utmost importance in making sure our boys and girls understand and look after their mental health; being able to talk about their feelings, express their emotions & know that their friends, teachers, assistants & staff are there for them during the school day.πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ’―πŸ’›
