  • We will remember them

    Sun 12 Nov 2023

It's been a very special week in school as pupils of all ages participated in Rmembrance.

A big thank you and well done to the pupils of P3McW & P7H who led our commemorative assemblies, whilst classes enjoyed a variety of lessons & activities in Literacy, World Around Us, Art & Design, PDMU and Activity-Based Learning all linked to the theme.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

    We will remember them.

  • Statement from the Education Authority (EA) about strike action

    Thu 09 Nov 2023

The Education Authority (EA) has warned of expected disruption to some school services as a result of strike action notified by UNISON, UNITE the UNION, NIPSA and GMB.  This strike action will commence with UNITE the UNION from Wednesday 15th November 2023.  UNISON, UNITE the UNION, NIPSA and GMB will all take strike action on Thursday 16th November 2023.

The EA is working with schools, youth services and partners to minimise any disruption to children and young people caused by the strike action.  However, due to the large number of staff anticipated to be involved in the planned action, we are expecting significant disruption, including to EA home to school transport (yellow bus), school meals and cleaning services.

The strike action will also have a major impact on the availability of Classroom Assistants in schools and may also impact on EA services to schools.

We encourage parents/carers to check the EA website for regular updates and details of any planned disruption here www.eani.org.uk/industrialactionupdates - information is also available across EA social media channels.

  • Sponsored success!

    Sun 05 Nov 2023

We finished the first nine weeks of the new school year by dodging the torrential downpours and heading outside to the playground & local community for our sponsored Walk 'n' Roll! A huge THANK YOU for all the amazing donations to school funds; early indications are that the total is a whopper!

Thanks also to all parents & carers who attended consultations with teachers before half term, to DJ Massey and his merry P6 helpers for thr marathon disco sessions for all year groups & to our good friend Alan from the PSNI for chatting to P4-7 pupils about Halloween safety during their time off school!

School resumes for everyone on Monday 6th November.
