  • Christmas Jumper Day!

Fri 16 Dec 2016 Mrs Graham

What an amazing day! Everyone looked wonderful in their Christmas jumpers and outfits. Some had even gone the extra mile, making their own unique fashion statements! Thank you so much to our generous parents and families for sending in donations to support Zak Brennan. We raised an amazing total of £1028.10 and more donations are still coming in. As usual, we are overwhelmed as a staff by your generosity. As we look back to only one month ago, when we raised £865 for our ASFAW Appeal on 5p Friday, we just want to say a big thank you to our Brooklands Families! Whether it is far or near, you are always willing to support.

  • Busy end to first term!

    Tue 13 Dec 2016

It's been a busy few weeks at Brooklands Primary as we approach the end of the first term and near the Christmas holidays!

The P1s, P2s and P3s are in the midst of their Christmas show, performing to a full house each morning on Tues 13th, Wed 14th & Thurs 15th Dec. Congratulations in advance to each and every pupil involved and their hardworking teachers and assistants for bringing it all together!

Our fabulous Choirs have been hard at work too, performing at Carol Services, Christmas Tree 'switch ons' and other public places - well done to the dedication of each pupil in supporting their equally dedicated teachers Mrs Bell, Miss Ashby and Mrs Connery. The Junior Choir has been opening each morning performance of the P1, P2 &  P3 show as well.

It's Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 16th - £1.00 per pupil please - we are supporting local boy Zakky Brennan reach the total needed for medical treatment in his battle with cancer. (Search for 'Zakky Brennan's Journey' on Facebook). This is in place of the gift envelopes we have used over the last number of years.

To finish the term, the P4-P7s will perform 'Witnesses', on Tuesday 20th December-a Christmas Nativity in song and words involving everyone- with the P7 pupils narrating and acting out the story.

    Reminders:

School ends at 12 noon for everyone on Tuesday 20th December.

Please collect pupils promptly on this day.

School re-opens on Thursday 5th January 2017 at 8.50am for a new term.

The Principal, Staff and Governors of Brooklands Primary School wish you all a very Happy Christmas & a peaceful New Year.
