The Education Authority has produced a leaflet for P7 parents to provide you with key information about applying for a post-primary school place. The online application portal is due to open on Monday 1st March at 12noon.
Please click here to download this leaflet and please do not hesitate to contact us if there is anything we can do to guide you through the process. Mr Armstrong will be in contact by phone with all our P7 families during the first week of March to discuss your options.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
May I take this opportunity to thank you all for the work that has been going on at home, as you support your children in their home-learning.
We hope that you found the phone calls from your child's teacher to be a support to you, during what we know is a very demanding time for all.
P7 parents will be contacted by telephone at the start of March to discuss Post-Primary Transfer Choices. We would encourage our P7 parents and children to visit Post-Primary School websites to view any virtual open-nights available, and to study the admissions criteria for schools that would be of interest to you.
There will be no home-learning the week beginning 15th February, as pupils, parents and staff will enjoy a well-deserved half-term break.
Home-learning will recommence on Monday 22nd February 2021.
School will close at 2pm this Friday for our key working families, with provision recommencing on Monday 22nd February 2021.
With an increased volume of pupils now registered for this provision, we must ask that parents do not drive cars in to school grounds due to concerns around pupils safety.
We await further confirmation of a school restart date, and as soon as we have this information, we will inform you immediately.
In the meantime, please know that we are all here for you and your children, during what is a very difficult, challenging time in so many ways.
Please email your child's teacher, or contact either myself or Mrs Smart, should you need to seek support in the weeks ahead.
We are here for each other, and will strive to provide the most supportive, engaging and accessible home-learning for your children, until such times as we are back together in school.
Sincere thanks,
Mr. J. Armstrong
