  • Changes to Breakfast Club

Thu 27 Jun 2019 Mr Boucher

From September 2019 we will be making three important changes to our Breakfast Club:

    *  Breakfast Club will be available for all year groups from P1 to P7

    *  Breakfast Club will start from the earlier time of 8.00am

    *  Breakfast Club will now be held in the School Dining Hall

The club will continue to be run by Mrs Rea and her team who have been doing an excellent job for many years.  The P1 and P2 children will be escorted directly to their classroom after their breakfast of cereal, toast and drinks.  The cost will remain 50p per day which must be paid each day on arrival.

  • The Wedding of the Year at Brooklands!

    Mon 24 Jun 2019

Wow! What a truly historic day at Brooklands Primary School today! The whole school gathered together in their finest shirts, ties and dresses to celebrate the marriage of P2 teacher Ms Moore and P6 teacher Mr Massey! We were joined by an array of very special guests including 'something old' (a fresh-faced bunch of Brooklands' retirees), 'something new' and 'borrowed' Cardinal Guardiola (our much loved retired principal Mr McCartney) and 'something blue' - our fabulous dinner ladies in full kitchen uniform! Mr Devlin escorted the bride into the hall which had been transformed into a glittering wedding venue fit for our 2 superstars! The Cardinal officiated, delivering hilarious vows written especially for the happy couple! We sang, we danced and we laughed - a truly epic Brooklands event! We finished in style with P6M leading the hall in a well-choreographed dance routine to Bruno Mars' 'Marry You'! We had hearts, flowers, confetti cannons, a bouquet, a red carpet, a home-made wedding dress...every expense was spared!!

Huge thanks to all pupils and staff who made the effort to 'dress up' and join in the celebrations! To my top team of Mrs Smart, Mrs Teer, Mrs McMahon and Mrs Bell - a HUGE thank you!!!! To Mrs G Graham and her helpers - thank you for a wonderful feast of wedding cake and treats after the ceremony!

Most of all of course, we wish our friends Ms Moore and Mr Massey every happiness in their life ahead together as husband and wife - we look forward to welcoming Mister - AND Missus - Massey back to school in August after the summer break.

  • Awards Assemblies for our KS2 pupils

    Fri 21 Jun 2019
We have enjoyed two special assemblies this week to say congratulations to all our award winners - whether it be Music, Sport, Outstanding Achievement or  Drama. You have all done yourselves and the school proud. It was great to welcome former Scottish rugby international and current Director of Rugby at Regent House, Budge Poutney, to hand out today's awards.
