The pupils prepared songs, readings, poems, drama, photo memories and much more for their respective farewells.

Mr Armstrong led each event & presented each pupil with their souvenir Brooklands mug.

School will officially end for our Primary 7 pupils on Tuesday 28th June at 1.15pm. We wish each and every one of them the best of luck as they head to post-primary for the next part of their school-life journey! 👋🏻❤️

  • Girls' rugby success

    Thu 16 Jun 2022

Congratulations to the girls at the Civil Service Rugby Club touch rugby tournament held at the Ballybeen Hub on Thursday 16th. After putting in some fine performances to top our group, we convincingly defeated St Josephs in the semi final. The final pitted us against Dundoanld in what was a close encounter. With the scores level at the full time whistle extra time was played. We could still not be separated so sudden death was played and Dundonald managed to sneak in a try to win an epic encounter. The girls did themselves and Brooklands proud and went home with lovely silver medals- well done girls and a big thank you to Stan and Civil Service Rugby Club.

Thank you to all the parents who have been coming to support the team all year - and a special thanks to Ms Mallon for all her help as joint manager and for having been able to put up with me also! ... no mean feat!!!

  • Donate your pre-loved uniforms in conjunction with ROC Ballybeen

    Fri 10 Jun 2022

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

Children often outgrow uniforms which are still in good condition.  As you know, uniforms are expensive and so it makes sense that these would be passed on to others who can use them.  This also helps the environment by cutting down on waste.

Local churches are working together with ROC Ballybeen to collect and distribute pre-loved, outgrown school uniforms which are still in good condition.  The project will cover all the schools located in Dundonald: Brooklands & Dundonald Primary Schools, along with their nurseries, Longstone, Tor Bank and Dundonald High School.

Please click here to download the letter about this project and find out how to donate your pre-loved uniforms.  Donations will be gratefully accepted at the back door of our assembly hall on Wednesday 29th June between 8.30am and 9.30am.  If this time doesn't suit, please take your donations to Christ Church on Friday 1st July from 10.00am to 2.00pm.

If you wish to receive some items of uniform, these will be available for collection from Christ Church on Monday 4th July from 3pm to 7pm and Thursday 4th August from 3pm to 7pm - please see the letter for additional details.

For further information and updates, please search for the 'ROC Ballybeen' page on Facebook.

This is an excellent initiative and we thank you in advance for your support.

    Kind regards,

    J. Armstrong

    Thu 09 Jun 2022 CLASSEY

The P7s Enjoyed a fantastic day at our local golf club today! All thanks to future Ryder Cup captain, Miss Duggan! There were quite a few 'hole in one' shots and not too many occassions when 'FORE' had to be shouted... mainly because Mr Armstrong wasn't playing! Well done everyone! Another cracker Brookies adventure!

  • P7H pupils head to Stormont!

    Wed 08 Jun 2022

Pupils from P7H joined representatives from the British Heart Foundation at Stormont today to call on our politicians to take urgent action on air pollution.

During their presentation, the children urged MLAs to help clean up polluted air to protect their future health.

As part of the project, Brooklands Primary School received an air pollution monitor.  Our P7 pupils were able to track pollution levels outside our school over four months, whilst learning about the impact that air pollution has on our health.

It was a fantastic morning and the children are all a credit to their school and families.  Well done to everyone in P7H and thank you to Mr Harrison!
