  • Garden sale success amongst 3rd term highlights so far!

    Sat 27 May 2017

With only 5 school weeks left, the 3rd term of the school year at Brooklands is slowly disappearing before our eyes! We've enjoyed spells of dry, sunny weather meaning lots of outdoor play for our boys and girls, with lots of games and equipment in the newly created playground zones at break and lunch.

Our annual Garden Sale was another HUGE success in early May thanks to the hard work of P7S/McC and lots of the staff team - thanks to one and all. Plants and flowers sold, sponges thrown, coffee and ice cream consumed...it was a busy afternoon in the sunshine! A great chance to bring the school family together in a fun way - thanks for all your support!

Our P7s have been very busy as they prepare to say goodbye at the end of June. They've been preparing for their move to new schools with the 'New Beginnings' programme run by the Brooklands Youth Centre and "It's Your Move", a Bible based look at life changes run by our good friend Lyndsey Myles from Scripture Union NI.

Over 40 P7s enjoyed more sunshine at the Folk Museum residential recently too- thanks to staff for going above and beyond there too.

As we head into June, pupils can look forward to Sports Day, the conclusion of the 'House' competition during Sports Week, special award assemblies and the usual array of singing, dancing, impressions and musical pieces in our "Brooklands' Got Talent" show near the end of term.

Don't forget school is closed on Thursday 8th June due to the General Election.

P1-P6 pupils finish the school year on Friday 30th June at 12noon. P7s finish a little earlier- the Leavers' Service is on Tuesday 27th June at 1.15pm.
