Welcome to our News section!
Our perfect, playful little pooch started school last week...and was positively punctured by the end of it! 🐾
Peanut, a name voted for by our pupils, is our school's brand new therapy dog, who will be in school each and every day to support the growing needs, anxieties, emotions and behaviours shown in every classroom, as well as providing comfort and enjoyment for the whole school community. 🐶
Therapy dogs are successful in helping children regulate emotions, to boost attendance; to encourage reluctant readers; to model and support teachings of desired behaviours...amongst many of our own wonderful ideas which will be shared in the coming weeks and months ahead! 🥰
Exciting, and hopefully very supportive, calming, nurturing and fun times ahead for the Brooklands family and for the newest addition to the team!
We love you already Peanut! ❤️
The football team got on brilliantly at the Ashfield tournament! Well done to everyone ... including a few of the stars who are missing from the photo! They know who they are - I certainly do!
I just wanted to thank you all for your support during the Book Fair week. You helped us earn £1634.74 in free books! Our best total yet!

Today we were visited by the Princeton University Tigers Ice Hockey team all the way from New Jersey in America. We told them about some of the landmarks in Northern Ireland and learnt about their university. We also had a chance to do some ice hockey skills with them.
That's a wrap Brooklands!
Our first term finished today for a fortnight's holidays!
The P4-7 classes enjoyed their Christmas Celebration with readings and songs about the true meaning of Christmas - the birth of God's Son, Jesus, all those years ago in a town called Bethlehem. Well done readers, you were superb! Thanks to Mrs Patton for putting it all together.
Our Senior Choir treated us to a final performance after a month of singing at Towell House, Christ Church Dundonald, St Mary's Ballybeen, McDonalds and Dundonald Library, amongst many other places! Thanks to Mrs Bell & Mrs Patton for their tireless dedication to the boys and girls of the choir - rest easy, one and all!
To all our pupils, staff, families, friends & website visitors, a very Happy Christmas! Take care & enjoy!
School re-opens on Thusday 4th January 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣
📢 It's Chrisssssssssttttttmmmmmmmaaaassssss!
Festive fever arrived at Brooklands this week!
Our P1, P2 & P3 pupils performed their Christmas Nativity show on three mornings for family, friends, school governors & our friends from Towell House! Uplifting songs, groovy dancing and fabulous acting brought the Christmas story to life amidst a sea of colourful costumes! Well done everyone - including staff! 🌟
On Friday, P4-P7 pupils took over our totally transformed assembly hall as they came together for a Christmas Jumper Day extravaganza led by 'Santa' Henry! Festive cheer was the order of the day with seasonal songs, 'Christmas Stars' awards and laugh-out-loud silly gifts and games! Thanks to the P7 teachers & pupils for putting it all together. 🌟
The first term of the school year finishes on Thursday 21st at 12 noon - Wednesday & Thursday are non-uniform days! 🎁
*Thanks to teachers who provided pics!*
On Sunday 10th December you are invited to join our Senior Choir at this year's Ballybeen Churches Community Carol Service in Christ Church at 4.00pm.
This is always a lovely service for the whole family to enjoy and you will be made most welcome.
